Oregon Representatives Peter Buckley (D-5) and Dennis Richardson (R-4) will speak and answer questions.
The Associated Student Government of Rogue Community College at Riverside will be hosting a discussion with Oregon representatives on the subject of Measures 66 and 67.
The measures are intended to bring in more money for the state by taxing the higher income brackets ($250,000+) and corporations reporting high profits, according to an RCC press release.
While the measures will not directly affect the personal finances of most students, the measures would help community colleges maintain funding. If the measures do not pass, it will mean more cuts at RCC, according to college President Peter Angstadt.
The event will begin at 6PM on Monday, January 11 in the Presentation Hall of the HEC Building at Riverside campus.
